Telltale's Game of Thrones Debuting 'Soon', Features Prominent Locations

By Alex Bullock

It may be a stark outlook for, well, the Starks, but Game of Thrones' northern province isn't finished yet. Telltale have announced that their upcoming adventure series based on the popular books and TV show will consist of six episodes, taking you from the Wall to the seat of Westerosi power, King's Landing.

The game will tell the story of a noble House mentioned only in passing, the northern Forresters: sworn bannermen to the larger House Glover and, in turn, the ruling Starks. Or the Boltons, if they get their way. Events will begin towards the end of the third season and book - notably after the now infamous Red Wedding - leaving you with an interesting power vacuum to play out Telltale's traditional politicking.

Along the way you'll inhabit five different characters in service to the house, but in different locations and even different continents. Telltale are promising that the actions of one may have serious consequences on another, reflecting the unpredictability of the source material.

No exact release date has been given, but Telltale have said it will be "soon," so expect Q1 2015, if not a cheeky Christmas release. You won't be short of ways to play either, as they plan to release on last gen, current gen, PC, Mac and iOS platforms.
