GTA San Andreas Just Arrived On PS3 With A New Look
With no announcement whatsoever, Rockstar Games just released a new version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for Playstation 3. The new version costs $14.99, or €14.99 / £10.99 depending on your region, and is supposedly better than the version that was previously listed in the Playstation Store, which was an emulated version of the Playstation 2 game.
The new version seems to be identical to the version that was released for Xbox 360 in October last year, which was based on the Android and iOS version of the game. According to the store page, the game has a resolution of 720p.
The bad news is that the 360 version received some criticism, like in this review from Digital Foundry which points out that some effects are missing and music that used to be in the game has been removed.
It also seems like the emulated version of the game has been withdrawn from the Playstation 3 Store. What's interesting to note is that this version is still available as a part of the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, which contains all the three games released for Playstation 2: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
